Role details

Overview

Founded in 2018, Fasanara Digital is the crypto arm of Fasanara Capital, a FCA-authorised investment firm managing USD 5 billion. Fasanara Digital focuses exclusively on digital assets and operates one of the largest, longest running, and best performing market-neutral funds in the space. We pursue a rigorous, technologically driven, scientific approach to trading.

Role

Junior Trade Support Engineer – join our front office technology team. This entry-level role is suited to a highly motivated engineer with a strong STEM background who is eager to work closely with live, high-frequency trading systems. You will help monitor, investigate, and resolve real-time trading and infrastructure issues, working alongside traders, quants, and senior engineers to keep our systems running smoothly in fast-moving market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor live trading systems and market connectivity across multiple venues
  • Investigate real-time trading incidents, anomalies, and performance issues under time pressure
  • Triage production problems and work with developers and quants to identify root causes
  • Perform post-incident analysis and contribute to preventative improvements
  • Build and maintain internal tools, dashboards, and scripts to improve monitoring and operational efficiency
  • Assist with exchange-related issues such as order rejections, latency spikes, and data inconsistencies
  • Help improve operational processes, runbooks, and alerting as the trading platform scales
  • Gradually take on more responsibility for production ownership as experience grows

Qualifications

  • STEM degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, methodical approach under pressure
  • Solid programming fundamentals; experience with Python required
  • Basic understanding of Linux systems and command-line environments
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, logs, and debugging distributed systems is a plus
  • Interest in real-time systems, low-latency environments, and how trading platforms operate
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to dig into messy, real-world issues
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • No prior trading or crypto experience required — curiosity and reliability matter more; 1+ years of experience would be a strong plus

Benefits

  • Competitive bonus scheme
  • Bupa health & dental, Cycle to Work scheme, enhanced pension, and generous annual leave
  • Enhanced parental leave, special leave allowances, and charity giving options
  • Regular team events, summer and Christmas parties, knowledge sharing sessions, and quarterly town halls
  • Team lunches, dinners, Friday drinks, and team sport activities
