Role Overview

Sitting on the trading floor, you will provide operational support to the Equity Trading and Derivatives business, which trades a diverse range of listed and unlisted equity-based products across Australia, Asia, EMEA and the US. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all daily tasks to maintain correct economic records in the risk management system, covering trade booking, life-cycle management, corporate actions, controls and reconciliation investigations. You will address and resolve issues raised by internal and external stakeholders across various products, markets and functions, such as Profit and Loss queries, settlement and funding, using problem-solving skills and a dynamic approach.

You will drive efficiency by automating and streamlining processes, contribute innovative ideas to enhance team capacity, and participate in projects and user acceptance testing to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What you offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
  • 1 year of experience in an investment banking environment, preferably in a middle office or trade processing role
  • A strong operational risk mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with management at different levels
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; Alteryx, Power Automate and PowerBI are an advantage
  • Exceptional report writing and presentation skills
