Junior Platform Specialist

Position Overview

Platform Applications Specialist at Squarepoint plays an important technical role in delivering mission-critical platform infrastructure using the DevOps methodology.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain automated platform solutions and services used across the firm. You will design, monitor, and manage platform infrastructure and automate routine tasks with scripting and configuration management tools.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a similar discipline
• Up to 4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
• Experience with Python, Git, Bash, and Linux
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with us

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern software development tooling, such as GitLab, Artifactory, or Docker
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management, such as Ansible and Terraform
• Experience with HPC and orchestration technologies, such as Slurm or Kubernetes
• Experience with databases and observability systems, such as Elasticsearch, Datadog, Prometheus, PostgreSQL
