Role

Alantra is seeking to hire an Investment Banking Analyst to support its Industrials M&A and capital raising advisory business. The position will be located onsite in New York.

Responsibilities

• Develop and author pitch materials
• Prepare client presentations and deal documents, including teasers, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
• Conduct extensive financial and valuation analyses
• Build advanced financial models to establish suitable capital structures, financial covenants, and sensitivity to key variables
• Produce comprehensive industry and company-specific research
• Develop marketing strategies, conduct buyer outreach and target approaches
• Manage due diligence and provide transaction support
• Support transaction negotiations

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. Focus in business, finance, accounting or similar preferred
• Strong knowledge of M&A and capital raising with the ability to apply skills creatively to a diverse set of clients’ needs
• Solid finance and accounting knowledge; ability to analyze and value businesses
• Sound judgment, particularly in valuation matters; strong analytical skills (DCF and LBO) and the ability to discuss prior deals comprehensively
• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills
• Team player mentality with the ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; expert in Excel and PowerPoint
• FINRA Series 79/7 and 63 licenses are required, or to be obtained within the first six months of employment
