Role
Alantra is seeking to hire an Investment Banking Analyst to support its Industrials M&A and capital raising advisory business. The position will be located onsite in New York.
Responsibilities
- Develop and author pitch materials
- Prepare client presentations and deal documents, including teasers, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
- Conduct extensive financial and valuation analyses
- Build advanced financial models to establish suitable capital structures, financial covenants, and sensitivity to key variables
- Produce comprehensive industry and company-specific research
- Develop marketing strategies, conduct buyer outreach and target approaches
- Manage due diligence and provide transaction support
- Support transaction negotiations

Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. Focus in business, finance, accounting or similar preferred
- Strong knowledge of M&A and capital raising with the ability to apply skills creatively to a diverse set of clients’ needs
- Solid finance and accounting knowledge; ability to analyze and value businesses
- Sound judgment, particularly in valuation matters; strong analytical skills (DCF and LBO) and the ability to discuss prior deals comprehensively
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills
- Team player mentality with the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills; expert in Excel and PowerPoint
- FINRA Series 79/7 and 63 licenses are required, or to be obtained within the first six months of employment
