Job Description

Keppel is a global asset manager and operator headquartered in Singapore. With operations in more than 20 countries worldwide, we provide innovative solutions addressing pressing needs across the energy transition, rapid urbanisation, and increasing digitalisation.

This role is within one of two platforms: Fund Management and Investment. The Fund Management platform focuses on raising capital and strengthening investor relationships. The Investment platform drives capital deployment decisions and horizontal integration to create value for investors.

Together, we aim to deliver sustainable returns through a range of products including listed REITs, business trusts, and private funds investing globally in real estate, infrastructure, data centres, and alternative asset classes.

The intern will be responsible for:

  • Performing investment due diligence, including financial and business analysis, financial modelling, transaction structuring, ESG analysis, and macroeconomic and industry research on prospective investments.
  • Supporting portfolio management and monitoring, fund marketing efforts, and assisting in preparing external investor communication materials and responses to investor requests.
  • Preparing internal investment committee memos, conducting market research, monitoring current investments, and supporting new deal origination.
  • Collaborating with Legal, Risk & Compliance, Finance, and Treasury functions on ancillary activities supporting the lending business, such as KYC, risk analysis, funding arrangements, and financial forecasts.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing an academic degree in a relevant field such as business management, finance, or accounting.
  • Good practical knowledge of finance and investment concepts, including equity analysis, credit risk analysis, financial modelling, and valuation.
  • Previous experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, project finance, structured finance, or private equity is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collegial, collaborative, fast-paced, and high-growth environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with strong initiative and the ability to perform with minimal supervision and within tight timeframes.
