Program Overview

Brown Advisory is seeking motivated, team-oriented students to join our 8-week, on-site Summer Analyst Programme in our London office, running from June 14th through August 6th, 2027.

This immersive programme is designed to build your analytical, strategic, and communication skills through global exposure, dedicated training, and meaningful project work. You will gain exposure to various teams, including Equity Research, Private Client, Sustainability, Fixed Income, Institutional Sales, Compliance, and Legal.

Through collaboration across the firm, you will develop a holistic understanding of investment management and how it delivers long-term value to clients. Opportunities include engaging with senior management, presenting in meetings, and building relationships with colleagues and fellow Analysts during networking and social events.

The programme offers a competitive salary, plus compensation for travel expenses to and from the London office.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct research and due diligence on public and private market investment opportunities, including external investment managers, private equity funds, and co-investments.
• Prepare investment materials such as research memoranda, investment teasers, and presentation materials to support investment decision-making.
• Present research findings and investment recommendations to members of the investment team.
• Attend weekly Investment Committee meetings, Portfolio Management meetings, and Investment Solutions Group meetings to gain exposure to the firm's investment process.
• Present a stock pitch to the wider London office.
• Complete an individual project throughout the internship, culminating in a presentation to the investment team.
• Build relationships across Brown Advisory through networking and mentorship opportunities with colleagues across offices and business areas.

Applicant Requirements

• Currently studying for a bachelor's degree (in the penultimate year) or a master's degree.
• A passion for both the institutional and private client aspects of investment management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and work effectively both independently and within a small team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or other market data systems is a plus.
• Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to take initiative and ask thoughtful questions.
