Our UK Summer Internship Program will run from June 14 to August 6, 2027, and internships will be available in Financial Lines.

About the AIG and Talbot Early Career Programme

AIG’s Summer Interns are immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, global insurance company. During the 8-week program, you will gain valuable, hands-on experience and insurance industry knowledge, working with leaders on dynamic projects, with plenty of opportunity for challenges, learning, and achievement.

Summer Interns join one of our key business teams, offering a unique opportunity to gain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment. In addition to meaningful on-the-job experiences, interns will join instructor-led masterclasses, hear directly from senior leaders, and build meaningful connections through mentoring circles, networking events, and volunteering.

Following completion of the internship program, interns may be considered for a permanent role in the Graduate Analyst program beginning in September 2028.

What you’ll do

• Work alongside experienced underwriters to assess risks.
• Gain exposure to real underwriting decisions and client interactions.
• Learn about different lines of business and underwriting practices.
• Analyse data, financial information, and market trends to support underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with other interns and your wider team on projects.
• Build a strong internal network.
• Participate in training sessions, networking events, and mentoring opportunities.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 2028.
• Previous work or volunteering experience in any industry or sector.
• Evidence of extra-curricular activities.
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Motivated, proactive, accountable, and willing to learn.
