GMS is comprised of two core pillars:

• Client Solutions: Focused on executing equity transactions for corporates and shareholders (sponsor and non-sponsor).
• Public & Private Equity Capital Markets (ECM): Deals at the Company / asset level.
• GP Solutions: Advice at the Fund / GP level.

These divisions collectively provide Investor coverage, delivering access to both public equity and strategic / private investors.

The Summer Analyst Opportunity

This Summer Analyst Programme offers the opportunity to work across the Client Solutions division, gaining unparalleled insight and experience into a broad range of equity transactions within both Public and Private Equity Capital Markets and GP Solutions.

Public & Private Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Overview

Rothschild & Co’s Equity Capital Markets advisory practise has been a leading independent adviser since its formation in 2009, having advised on over 430 equity offerings with a combined deal value exceeding €390 billion across the full spectrum of IPOs and other equity offerings. The work is heavily focused on transaction execution rather than pitching, closely collaborating with the M&A and market-leading debt advisory teams.

The transaction types covered include:

• Public Equity: Raising equity capital for publicly listed companies, Initial Public Offerings, Follow-on raises, Recapitalisations, Sell-downs / monetisations, and Convertible & equity linked transactions.
• Private Equity: Raising equity & equity-like capital for private companies, Minority equity / non-control transactions, Preferred & structured equity transactions, Syndicated minority transactions, and Growth equity & venture capital raises.

Our team specializes in structuring and managing non-control equity transactions, partnering with M&A and Debt advisory teams to provide strategic advice on options, structure, governance, investors, tactics, execution, and implementation.

GP Solutions (GPS) Overview

The GP Solutions (GPS) team advises private equity sponsors on strategic transactions, including:

• Fund-level: Single asset continuation vehicles and Multi-asset continuation vehicles, Strip sales, and NAV financing & fund preferred equity.
• GP / Management company-level: GP minority equity sales / staking and GP debt raises.

GPS leverages Rothschild & Co’s industry-leading sector expertise to offer comprehensive advisory capabilities across the capital structure for diverse asset classes including buyout, venture, infrastructure, growth, real estate, and credit.

Programme Training and Experience

Training

The programme begins with an intensive classroom training programme covering technical skills (accounting, valuation, and modelling), internal presentations, and soft skills training.

Day-to-Day Experience

Following training, analysts join the team for the remainder of the internship. Networking events and learning sessions will be provided throughout the summer. Analysts will be given meaningful responsibility as soon as they join the desk, allowing them to fully encounter day-to-day life at Rothschild & Co.

Career Progression

At the conclusion of the internship, successful candidates may be considered for a permanent role on our Graduate Programme upon completing their university degree.

Qualifications and Competencies

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• On track for a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent in their university degree.
• Genuine interest in corporate finance and equity markets, coupled with good commercial awareness.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Diligence and commitment to excellence.
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• An ambitious, driven nature, capable of delivering results while working under tight deadlines.
