Internship Opportunity at GLG

GLG’s Internship is an exciting opportunity for university students looking to pursue a career in research, consulting, B2B client servicing, business development, or the financial services sector.

This internship is structured to develop your communication and teamwork skills and broaden your industry knowledge while working in a fast-growing global firm. You will support the GLG Southeast Asia Corporate team on projects by conducting industry research, reaching out to opinion leaders and key executives across various verticals, and taking a significant part in providing the best solutions to enhance client decision-making. You will also have the opportunity to take ownership of strategic initiatives aiming to streamline business processes.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Supporting the client-facing team by providing project support for multiple ongoing projects on a day-to-day basis.
• Facilitating educational interactions between GLG Network Members and our clients to enable clients to make more informed and confident decisions.
• Fulfilling time-sensitive research requests by analyzing client needs and building/qualifying primary populations of topic experts. Expert interactions may involve telephone/virtual calls, surveys, written reports, and in-depth consulting engagements.
• Identifying and screening experts by working with the client-facing team to select the most suitable experts for each project through a thorough examination of their knowledge and eligibility.
• Enhancing the GLG Networks by developing relationships with GLG’s most respected thought leaders across sectors and potentially recruiting new senior executives and leading consultants into the GLG Networks through research, networking, and direct outreach.
• Team-wide collaboration.
• Ad-hoc duties assigned by the team.

Qualifications and Requirements

We seek bright, positive, and flexible individuals who also meet the following:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in the research industry, marketing research, or consulting is a plus.
• Ability to write, speak, and present succinctly to deliver investment theses or ideas.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize activities effectively while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently on tasks to deliver expected outcomes.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and proactively seek alternative solutions when faced with roadblocks.
• Ability to commit to a minimum full-time 3-month internship.
