The Team

Alvarez & Marsal's U.S. Tax practice is seeking an Intern to join the Tax Technology Strategy & Enablement team. This role supports the operational backbone of how the A&M Tax practice adopts and uses technology—keeping initiatives organized, moving deliverables forward, and building the internal resources that make training and tool rollouts effective. It is a hands-on coordination and content role with opportunities to gain experience with light Power Platform work.

How You Will Contribute

Core, day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and organizing project trackers, status updates, and documentation across concurrent workstreams.
• Supporting the development and upkeep of internal resources, including SharePoint sites, training materials, and reference libraries.
• Assisting with preparing presentations, reports, and internal communications for leadership and practice-wide audiences.
• Assisting with building and testing lightweight solutions using Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) or similar technologies.
• Contributing to change management efforts by drafting messaging, FAQs, and onboarding content for new tools and processes.
• Conducting research on technology tools, vendor capabilities, and peer firm practices to inform strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Supporting data gathering and analysis to track adoption metrics and training completion at the program level.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, MIS, or a related field (Master's candidates are welcome).
• Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills; self-directed and comfortable with shifting priorities.
• Comfortable working within Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Power Platform, Alteryx, or data visualization tools is a plus.
• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Genuine interest in how technology is changing professional services work.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship. A&M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: The hourly rate is $40 per hour.
