Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in pricing individual treaty submissions.
• Contribute to the testing and improvement of actuarial models.
• Collect and analyze industry data for use within pricing tools.
• Prepare data for inclusion in the pricing database.
• Meet with brokers and clients as required.
• Complete the Casualty Actuarial Society designation or equivalent.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or another technical major.
• 0–2 years of related work experience.
• Completion of at least one Casualty Actuarial Society actuarial exam.
• Recent actuarial internship experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Knowledge of VBA and SAS preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is:

$75,000–$85,000

The annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and is determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to the complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one component of Allied World’s comprehensive total rewards package, which may also include annual incentive compensation.
