The Opportunity

As a Non-Bank Financial Institutions Intern, you will gain valuable exposure to the financial institutions sector and contribute to shaping growth opportunities across regional markets. Working alongside experienced bankers, you will analyse market opportunities, evaluate competitive landscapes, and support strategic business initiatives. This role offers the chance to develop your analytical, research, and presentation skills while gaining insights into banking and treasury solutions for financial institution clients across Asia.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sector Research: Conduct regional market research and industry analysis on insurance companies, securities brokers, exchanges, finance companies, and financial leasing companies across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.
  • Market Mapping: Identify and map key market participants, industry trends, and emerging opportunities within the non-bank financial institutions sector.
  • Opportunity Analysis: Perform wallet sizing assessments, banking opportunity analysis, and competitor benchmarking to support business development strategies.
  • Strategic Insights: Assist in identifying market gaps, growth opportunities, and strategic priorities to support the team's business objectives.
  • Management Presentations: Prepare concise, management-ready materials and presentations to support discussions with business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Business Planning Support: Contribute research, analysis, and recommendations for strategic initiatives and client engagement opportunities.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Provide support on other business, research, and analytical assignments as required.

Who You Will Work With

Global Transaction Banking delivers innovative cash management, trade finance, and treasury solutions to clients across the region. Within the Global Financial Institutions team, you will partner with experienced professionals who work with non-bank financial institutions to help them achieve their business objectives. You will gain firsthand exposure to how banking solutions are developed, positioned, and delivered to a diverse range of financial institution clients in a collaborative and forward-looking environment.

Qualifications and Skills

Who You Are
