The Opportunity

As an EB International Intern, you will gain exposure to the dynamic world of international banking, supporting businesses as they expand across borders. You will work alongside experienced Relationship Managers to understand how the bank serves clients across Greater China, ASEAN, and international markets. This role offers the opportunity to develop your research, analytical, and communication skills while contributing to initiatives that strengthen the bank's international franchise and support cross-border business growth.

You will collaborate closely with senior bankers and business stakeholders to conduct market research, support business development initiatives, and analyze industry trends. Your ability to synthesize information, present insights effectively, and collaborate across teams will be key to supporting strategic decision-making and delivering value to clients.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

• Market & Industry Research: Support the EB International team by conducting research on key growth corridors, including Greater China-ASEAN flows, ASEAN businesses, and international businesses expanding into Asia.
• Business Intelligence: Analyze industry developments, market trends, and emerging opportunities to support business planning and client acquisition strategies.
• Partnership & Marketing Support: Collaborate with partnership teams to develop and refine marketing materials, industry propositions, and tailored banking solutions across different markets.
• New Industry Studies: Conduct research on emerging industries, evolving business trends, and growth sectors across the regions the team covers.
• Presentation Development: Prepare research reports, management presentations, and business materials to support stakeholder discussions and client engagements.
• Cross-Border Banking Support: Gain exposure to banking solutions that support cross-border transactions, international trade, and lending opportunities.
• Ad-hoc Projects: Provide support on strategic initiatives, business development activities, and other assigned tasks as required.

Within the EB International team, you will work alongside Relationship Managers and senior bankers who support clients across Greater China, ASEAN, and other international markets. You will gain valuable exposure to cross-border banking, international business development, and the diverse needs of multinational and regional corporates.

Candidate Profile

Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)

• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Curious about international business, cross-border banking, and global markets.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Comfortable conducting market research and analyzing business trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic analytical skills; familiarity with VBA or data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Background in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
