Introduction to the Role

Temasek’s Public Affairs team is responsible for positioning, projecting, and protecting the Temasek brand and reputation. This team operates across three pillars: Brand Building and Positioning, Media, Transactions, and Issues Management, and Reputation Management.

We adopt an agile and multidisciplinary approach to communicate and engage with our stakeholders, deepening their understanding of Temasek—what we do and why we do it. This work involves proactive media and issues management, along with developing content for meaningful storytelling across our social platforms.

This internship position supports the Sustainability Communications function within Public Affairs, focusing on research, content development, and communications work, primarily utilizing written and visual media formats (such as videos, slides, graphics, and animations).

Responsibilities

• Communications Strategy Support: Support research, data collation, and analysis for the development of an integrated communications plan.
• Content Creation and Messaging: Support the development of messaging and narratives by conducting research and crafting content related to institutional sustainability initiatives for internal and external use. This includes presentation decks, internal messaging toolkits, social media content, video scripts, updates for Sustainability-related pages, and corporate website content.
• Media and Event Engagement: Support the preparation of materials for external engagements, including briefing documents, presentation decks, talking points, and Q&As.
• Team Administration and Support: Support the Sustainability Communications team with ongoing administrative tasks, logistics, information and data tracking, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Project Management: Independently manage tasks to ensure the timely progress and completion of assigned projects.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Public Affairs, Sustainability, and Investment teams, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with overall business goals.

What We Are Looking For

• Demonstrable experience in content ideation, creation, and development.
• A keen learner with a strong sense of intellectual curiosity and a passion for communications. A passion for sustainability is a plus.
• Strong visual and written communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate complicated concepts.
• Ability to manage complex content projects, timelines, and accompanying stakeholders (corporates, public, partners, etc.). The successful candidate must be an effective multi-tasker.
• Attention to detail amidst a fast-paced environment.
• An independent worker and collaborative team player who can contribute effectively toward shared goals.

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• While preference is given to applicants majoring in Communications, Journalism, Sustainability, New Media, Marketing, Business, Economics, or Finance, applicants from other relevant disciplines are welcome.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other essential business communication tools.
• Ability to commit full-time from January/February to July 2027 (6 months) while remaining enrolled in a recognized university.
