About Us

We’ve been helping clients plan and invest for their futures for over 50 years. From more than 25 locations around the world, we provide investment services and retirement expertise to everyone from central banks to private individuals.

We’re known for acting with integrity and thinking for the long term. We foster a welcoming, caring, and inclusive culture where people feel respected, trusted, and able to be themselves.

The Team

Our investment process considers environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) issues when, in our view, they have a material impact on investment risk or return. We identify relevant ESG issues through our internal research process in collaboration with our highly technical in-house Sustainable Investing team.

The Sustainable Investing team is organised into two complementary pillars:

  • Stewardship & Research — focuses on generating sustainability research and insights to support investment decision-making, and using stewardship to influence companies and wider market practices. Work spans sector and thematic research, ESG and governance analysis, company and policy engagement, and proxy voting to help identify material sustainability risks and opportunities and support long-term value creation.
  • Strategy, Product & Governance — focuses on building and maintaining sustainability data, tools, and investment frameworks that underpin our sustainable investing capabilities, and translating them into products and client solutions. Work spans sustainability datasets and methodologies, product design and implementation, tailored client solutions, regulatory requirements, and ongoing product oversight to embed these capabilities across our investment offering.

What You’ll Be Doing

On our 10-week programme, you will gain experience across the two core pillars of our Sustainable Investing team. You will typically work on a substantive project within each area, alongside shorter-term team priorities. Your work may include:

  • Researching sustainability themes and companies
  • Supporting engagement and voting-related analysis
  • Analysing sustainability data
  • Contributing to the development of sustainable investment products, tools, frameworks, and reporting

You will work with colleagues across Sustainability and the wider investment business, using research and data to develop insights, solve practical problems, and communicate your findings clearly.

The Difference You’ll Make

You’ll contribute to positive, meaningful work that makes a difference to our clients. You’ll help them invest and plan for the futures they want, and provide invaluable support to your team.

How You’ll Be Supported

You will begin with a welcome and orientation to meet your fellow interns and learn about our work. Once the programme starts, you’ll learn every day through experts around you and by tackling real projects.

You will also have a buddy and a mentor to support you throughout the programme. In addition, you’ll join a close-knit early careers community with social and networking events to help you find your feet and feel at home.

What We’re Looking For

We care about who you are, rather than what you studied. We look for interns who are analytical, eager to learn, and ready to take on a challenge.

A genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn about investment is vital, along with a lively interest in our work and our industry. Creative thinking and attention to detail are also important.

As we’re an international organisation, you must speak English. You will also need to:

  • Be graduating in 2028 (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)

We welcome applications from a wide mix of talent and encourage diversity across age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, social background, and more.
