2027 Summer Internship Program

Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, engaging in projects that directly affect our business, interacting with senior leaders in conversational settings, and networking with employees and interns across our offices. This internship provides realistic experiences and information about what it is like to work at Guardian.

Internship Details

• Internship Dates: Thursday, May 27, 2027 - Friday, August 6, 2027
• Application Deadline: Friday, November 13th, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET, or when roles are filled, whichever comes first.

What We Are Looking For

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A current junior with a expected graduation date of May 2028 who is driven by collaboration, able to listen, make quick decisions, and thrive in a goal-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency using data analytics and generative AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, MAI Image 2.5 Flash, Flux.2 Flex, and GPT-Image, to support research, analysis, and business insights.

What You Will Do

• Partner with leaders across Operations, Claims, Service, and Transformation to support strategic initiatives focused on enhancing the customer and Guardian Colleague experience.
• Analyze operational and customer data to identify opportunities for improvement using data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, Microsoft Co-Pilot, and Claude.
• Assist in the development of executive presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations for investment.
• Develop learning and development plans for newly implemented improvements to the colleague’s experience.
• Work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members across the organization who will coach you in your professional career development.
• Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings.
• Build a network of colleagues and develop a sense of community with other interns and parts of the business.
• Think broadly and critically question data, facts, and other information.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders requiring H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
• You must be available for the full program dates of the internship.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $20.00 - $35.00

The salary range listed is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location. The actual salary for this position will ultimately be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
