About Starling

Banking was broken – so we decided to fix it. Our vision is fast technology, fair service, and honest values, all available on your phone, anytime. We built Britain’s first digital bank. One hard-won banking licence later, we set about giving people a new way to spend, save, and manage their money, while also taking better care of the planet. We are changing banking for good. We are obsessed with unraveling the knotty world of finance and solving people’s problems rather than just selling them products.

We have grown significantly, now servicing over four million accounts across four types! We are a team of thousands, headquartered in London with offices in Cardiff, Dublin, Manchester, and Southampton. For seven years, we have been voted Which? Recommended Provider and Britain's Best Banking Brand. We remain entirely branchless. Our culture is open, inclusive, and focused on solving real customer problems with an emphasis on doing the right thing, even when it’s not the easy route. From our approach to teamwork and sustainability to how we build our products, every decision must make the world—and Starling—a better place. Everyone at Starling is essential to our mission: solving our customers' problems and building the best bank in the world!

We are now leveraging our proprietary technology platform, which powers our own bank, to provide Starling services to other banks through our subsidiary, Engine, via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) proposition.
