Your Future Role at QRT

This team is integral to the firm’s success. We are seeking a technically skilled Data Support Engineer to assist quantitative researchers and traders in navigating and utilizing extensive datasets. This role supports all data users, contributes to documentation, and ensures overall data quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support to researchers and traders regarding data access and usage.
• Collaborate with data engineers to resolve complex data issues.
• Onboard new hires, training them on using data tools and processes efficiently.
• Manage JIRA workflows, track support requests, and ensure the timely resolution of data issues.
• Contribute to comprehensive data documentation.
• Assist in extending data coverage through live collection processes and backfills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in data support, IT helpdesk, or technical support, preferably within the finance industry.
• Strong command of Python and relevant data libraries.
• Proficiency with data systems, pipelines, and APIs.
• Experience utilizing JIRA or similar project management tools.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and keen attention to detail.
