About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our core development team. In this role, you will help design, develop, and deploy clean, fast, and reliable code that powers our autonomous vehicles. You will gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to advanced autonomy features while upholding strict software quality standards. This is a unique opportunity to write production-level C++ code and see your work deployed on real-world robotic systems.
Role Responsibilities
- Implement and manage state machines (specifically hierarchical state machines, such as SMACH, Behavior Trees, or custom architectures) for complex control logic.
- Implement advanced features for autonomous vehicles.
- Design and develop clean, fast, reliable code.
- Create and maintain technical design documents.
Requirements and Qualifications

Required Experience
- Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related fields.
- Experience writing production-quality code in modern C++.
- Experience developing in a Linux environment.
- Experience with hierarchical state machines.
- Experience with ROS or other similar middleware.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Flexible problem-solver who is comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
