Job Summary

This role collaborates closely with business and finance teams on forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing, financial and deal modeling, performance measurement, reporting, and analysis. The role also communicates financial results and key performance drivers to senior leadership. These activities involve leveraging large data sets and advanced financial systems, including AI-based models.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the business and broader finance team on forecasting, month-end close activities, reporting, and the budgeting process.
  • Conduct business case modeling and perform in-depth analysis.
  • Review financial model performance and implement enhancements as needed.
  • Leverage data and systems to support metrics forecasting and analysis.
  • Assist with monthly reporting, including variance analysis of actual results versus forecasts and budgets, as well as ad hoc deep-dive analyses.
  • Coordinate with business partners, budget owners, and other financial analysts to develop business cases and establish processes for tracking results.
  • Own finance support for designated business partners.
  • Execute a broad range of ongoing and periodic financial processes, including long-range planning, budgeting, month-end close, forecasting, resource allocation, KPI management, and performance management.
  • Communicate financial results and key drivers to senior leadership through concise and effective storytelling.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least one year of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation and Location

The base pay for this role depends on the work location and the relevant experience and expertise of the selected candidate.

Primary Location and Pay Range:
New York City, New York: $79,500–$113,850 annually

Additional Locations and Pay Range:
No other locations are currently assigned to this requisition.

Additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.

Work Model

For the majority of employees, PayPal’s balanced hybrid work model offers three days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and two days at either the PayPal office or the employee’s home workspace.
