Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Implement marketing campaigns across in-app and external channels, and develop an understanding of campaign performance measurement.
• Ensure day-to-day operational excellence across marketing activities.
• Conceptualize, manage, and execute social media strategies across relevant platforms.
• Create engaging, informative, and visually appealing content.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to produce and develop marketing assets.
• Support the team with data reporting and insight generation.
• Monitor user behavior and engagement within the Carousell app, and provide insights to improve campaign performance.
• Generate and test creative, low-cost social media content using basic filming and editing skills.
• Stay updated on social media trends and adapt content creation strategies accordingly.
• Leverage generative AI tools to brainstorm social media concepts and optimize copywriting for different platforms.
• Provide ad hoc operational support to the marketing team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a course majoring in Marketing or Business at a polytechnic or university.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their content requirements.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Basic video editing and content creation skills using tools such as CapCut, Canva, or similar platforms are an advantage.
• Ability to generate insights and recommendations from large datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace applications, particularly Excel or Sheets, Word or Docs, and PowerPoint or Slides.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• An innovative mindset and the ability to think creatively when solving problems within operating constraints.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects.
• A team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
• A keen interest in Carousell and the operations of secondhand marketplaces.
• Basic proficiency in using generative AI to assist with content creation and data summarization.
• Available to commit to full-time work for six months.

Internship Details

This is a full-time, six-month internship starting in January 2027.
