About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Analyst to join the Industrials Portfolio Management Team within Corporate and Investment Banking. This role will support the credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring of Wells Fargo’s Industrials portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, industry analysis, and projection modeling to ensure accurate and timely monitoring of the assigned portfolio.
  • Partner with senior portfolio managers and assigned deal teams to prepare credit memorandums.
  • Prepare discussion materials for internal presentations with leadership and risk partners.
  • Support client needs related to credit and associated products.
  • Complete ad hoc borrower and portfolio analyses.
  • Apply credit policies and procedures to credit analyses, observations, and recommendations.
  • Assist with deal closings.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners, stakeholders, and senior bankers.
  • Complete scheduled professional development training.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, geoscience, engineering, or a related field from a four-year accredited college or university.
  • Understanding of corporate finance principles and capital structuring issues.
  • Strong financial modeling, credit, accounting, and technical skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience reviewing, checking, or supervising the work of junior team members.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced, and complex environment.
  • High level of initiative and accountability.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with team members in different locations.
  • Ability to act with integrity and good character and exercise sound judgment.

Job Expectations

  • Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Obtaining and maintaining the appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 63 and 79 examinations, or recognized equivalents, must be completed within 90 or 180 days following the start of employment, depending on the number of licenses required, unless the licenses are immediately transferable upon hire. This will be communicated when the offer is accepted.
  • Compliance with state registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. Specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may also apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards.
  • Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process when the offer is accepted. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after September 30, 2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required.
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements, including successful completion and clearance of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to applicable regulatory requirements, including 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3.
  • Successful candidates must meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening, and report certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply to outside activities or personal investing. Employees subject to these policies must provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and comply with applicable requirements.

Pay Range

$90,000.00–$150,000.00

The base pay range offered for this position may vary depending on factors including demonstrated prior performance, skills, experience, and work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
