Role details

CAIS is the pioneer in democratizing access to and education about alternative investments for independent financial advisors, empowering them to engage and transact with leading asset managers at scale through a wide variety of alternative investment products and technology solutions. CAIS provides access to strategies including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real estate, digital assets, and structured notes. CAIS serves more than 2,500 wealth management firms supporting over 65,000 financial advisors who oversee approximately $8.5 trillion in end-client assets.

CAIS is always looking for the next game changer to join our growing Partner Experience team. This dual-hatted role combines the relationship-driven side of Partner Experience—owning partner relationships, service delivery, and escalations—with the technical, platform-facing side, including configuring the CAIS platform and driving process improvements and automation. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable owning a partner relationship end-to-end and leading a cross-functional platform delivery project.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for financial advisors, firms, and partners across the alternatives ecosystem.
  • Own service delivery and escalation management for an assigned set of partners and/or processes, ensuring timely resolution and a consistently high-quality experience.
  • Develop working expertise in the CAIS platform, investment products, and the alternatives ecosystem to lead client and partner education, training, and platform demonstrations.
  • Configure and connect the CAIS platform for partners and lifecycle phases, including platform configuration, firm, user, and fund permissions, connectivity scoping, and integration and workflow testing.
  • Own document and data digitization work, as well as document and approval workflow design, for assigned partner segments.
  • Perform business and data analysis to troubleshoot problems, build reports, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Provide issue monitoring and technical support for partner-facing platforms and data issues.
  • Proactively communicate with partners about status, changes, and issues, and provide consultative guidance on how to get the most from the CAIS platform.
  • Drive product and process improvements, automation, and adoption of new tools, including Digital Workforce and AI/agentic capabilities.
  • Identify recurring partner pain points and engage with Technology and Transformation teams to resolve them.
  • Lead and support platform delivery projects from requirements scoping through launch in partnership with Technology, Product, and Relationship Management.
  • Build relationships across Sales, Transformation, Product, Technology, and Enablement teams to resolve partner needs end-to-end.
  • Maintain process and technical documentation and accurately track cases and interactions in CRM and collaboration tools such as Airtable and SharePoint.
  • Assume additional responsibilities based on capacity, skills, and interests.

Qualifications

Analyst — 0–2 Years

Experience in client service, solutions, operations, or platform configuration within financial services. Relevant internship or academic experience will be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, computer science, or a related discipline required.
  • Genuine interest in financial services, alternative investments, and technology transformation.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with team members, partners, and cross-functional stakeholders; communicate clearly; and ask for help when needed.
  • Complete assigned tasks reliably, keep status current in CRM and tracking tools, and raise obvious blockers early.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and basic data validation; raise data quality issues for the team.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical details for nontechnical audiences.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 preferred, or completion within six months of hire. This requirement is role dependent.
  • Prior experience in a small to mid-sized firm, startup environment, or relevant internship preferred.
  • Build working relationships with partners and internal stakeholders beyond the immediate team; routinely update partners on status and independently negotiate smaller-scope requests.
  • Write repeatable queries and support test runs and data validation for platform configuration changes.
  • Produce and maintain standard operating procedures and checklists for assigned partner and platform areas; document learnings and mentor newer Analysts.

Associate — 3–5 Years

All Analyst qualifications, plus:

  • Knowledge of alternative investments and funds, along with direct experience in platform configuration or data analysis, required.
  • Skilled at building trusted relationships and managing multiple partner relationships concurrently while leading medium-scope platform or process delivery projects.
