Internship opportunities are based across APAC offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, and Taiwan.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply if you:

• Are currently pursuing an Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028.
• Can begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028– August 2028.
• Are on track to achieve a minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Are business proficient in English (proficiency in any Asian languages will be a plus).
• Can commit fully to the internship for the full program duration.

What You’ll Excel at as an Account Analyst

You’ll excel as an Account Analyst if you:

• Have strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance.
• Possess proficient to advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Can articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Have outstanding communication skills to operate in a complex financial and mathematical environment.
• Have a passion for process enhancement through technology enablement (e.g., AI, programming, data modelling).

• Demonstrate curiosity and experience using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes.

Role Overview

In this dynamic role, you will support servicing of PIMCO’s Institutional clients and/or Global Wealth Management (GWM) businesses. Your primary responsibility is to support PIMCO’s investment professionals to help ensure delivery of the highest level of service to our clients. During your internship, you will gather, analyze, and discuss economic and market trends, evaluate portfolio structures, deliver attribution analyses to Account Managers and their clients, and support business development activities in the region.

PIMCO Internship Experience

• The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program running from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you are available for the full duration.
• Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders, and team will offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer.
• You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources to build future-ready skills and make an impact from the start.
• You will receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to help you stay on track to meet your summer goals. You will also join cross-divisional education, networking, and social events.
• As a PIMCO intern, you will receive competitive compensation, along with a transition bonus to help with relocation to one of our office locations.

Interview Process

• After PIMCO receives your application, an initial review of your resume will be conducted.
• If selected to move forward, you will be invited to complete a one-way video interview and assessment to showcase your interests, skills, and personality as part of the next stage.
• After completing the assessment, you will have a final round of live interviews with PIMCO via video conference. These interviews typically include both behavioral and technical questions.
