Policy Team Intern (Trust & Risk) — Summer 2027
Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. The role is a 12-week internship during summer 2027. You can expect to meet quarterly in-person for intense working sessions called “surges.”
As an intern on the Policy team within Trust & Risk, you will help Coinbase shape how policymakers and regulators engage with digital assets. The Policy team leads Coinbase’s advocacy, government outreach, and regulatory engagement across the U.S. and internationally. You will contribute directly to policy deliverables, stakeholder research, and cross-functional projects that advance Coinbase’s position in the evolving crypto regulatory landscape.
What You’ll Do
- Support U.S. and international policy workstreams, including stakeholder engagement, government outreach, regulatory affairs, and internal operations
- Draft policy materials such as talking points, white papers, social media posts, presentation decks, and short- and long-form articles for external audiences
- Conduct research on legislative, regulatory, and policy developments, then synthesize findings into actionable briefs for the Policy team
- Provide operational support on key deliverables, including drafting, proofreading, data compilation, and project coordination
- Communicate the Policy team’s perspective internally by distilling complex regulatory topics into clear summaries for cross-functional partners
Required Skills and Experience
- Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in public policy, political science, law, international relations, or a related field
- Demonstrated research capability, including experience producing written analysis of legislative, regulatory, or policy topics (academic or professional)
- Familiarity with government systems, lawmaking processes, or financial regulation in at least one major jurisdiction (U.S., EU, or UK)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables with minimal supervision over a 12-week engagement
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
Position Information
- Position ID: P77818
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid
- Hourly Rate (target): $40 USD
