About the Role
This role is remote, with the option to work from the following offices on a hybrid basis.

Actuarial Intern (Property & Casualty)
As an actuarial intern in our Property & Casualty division, you will work as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects spanning pricing and product development, reserving, capital modeling, and software implementation for insurance companies. Clients demand leading-edge products and expertise; as an intern, you can expect exposure to many aspects of insurance operations and to learn practical skills working directly with credentialed actuaries.
Responsibilities
You will work side-by-side with industry consultants as you develop cutting-edge technical knowledge and skills, and gain experience working with a variety of clients across industries. Your work may include:
- Assist with the overall pricing and development of personal and/or commercial lines insurance products.
- Leverage predictive modeling techniques to increase segmentation of risks.
- Perform loss reserve analyses, including preparation of actuarial reports, Statements of Actuarial Opinion, and Actuarial Opinion Summaries, using a variety of methods and stochastic approaches.
- Learn WTW proprietary software to complete projects.
- Seek and participate in key learning and development opportunities while maintaining steady progress toward actuarial credentials.
- Build strong relationships internally and with client representatives.
- Document, review, and present your own work.
- Assist in creating detailed project plans.
- Monitor project progress against deadlines and budget.
- Follow the firm’s Excellence guidelines.
