Program Overview

As a 2027 Corporate & Investment Bank – Global Corporate Banking Analyst Program – Public Sector – Summer Intern – London, you will begin with orientation and training led by top professionals and expert instructors. You will gain the technical and practical knowledge needed to make an impact in Global Corporate Banking. Our team members and mentors will help you navigate the firm and continue building your understanding of our businesses. You will have access to senior management and a network of peers to support ongoing professional development throughout the summer. Top-performing summer analysts may receive a full-time offer to join the two-year Global Corporate Banking analyst program.

Spend your summer alongside top professionals to develop solutions that help shape the global economy. Put your energy, insight, and analytical prowess to work at the heart of J.P. Morgan. Spend time in the Public Sector Group, managing some of the most senior relationships in the firm with public sector institutions across multiple businesses.

Clients may include central banks, sovereign wealth funds, public pension funds, sovereign-related investors, governments, policy-related financial institutions, and international institutions. You will build relationships with clients’ senior leadership, including strategic decision makers, investment management, and risk management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist Global Corporate Banking (GCB) Public Sector bankers in managing internal aspects of existing client relationships and developing broad subject matter expertise across lines of business about relevant clients.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the client and prospect universe, including drivers, internal products, competitors, economic outlooks, trends, and challenges.
  • Maintain internal reports, including revenue decks and other analytical reports, and gain exposure to product, strategy, or client coverage-based teams.
  • Prepare internal memos, such as senior management briefings and decision committee memoranda.
  • Participate in the analysis and negotiation of financing requests in coordination with credit, product, legal, and compliance teams.
  • Coordinate with product and country teams to identify and execute transactions for clients globally across a range of products, such as capital markets, risk solutions, and transaction banking.
  • Network with industry leaders, access best-in-class training, and learn how the firm’s businesses work together to provide excellent customer service.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Familiarity with business fundamentals.
  • Passion for public sector institutions and a high level of motivation to learn about and work with public sector clients.
  • Ability to quickly solve problems on your own and with a team.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and drive to succeed.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to partner and work on a team.
  • Confidence and initiative to take on early responsibility and manage your own projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Expected graduation dates: January 2028 – August 2028.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • On track for a United Kingdom 2:1 Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in undergraduate studies.
