Internship Program Overview

Our interns and co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. Summary of Role

The Global Asset Management team is responsible for optimizing assets, especially high-value assets such as equipment used in the wafer fabrication process. One of the asset optimization initiatives is to harness the value of used equipment that is no longer required for production due to technological changes, capacity mix optimization, equipment obsolescence, and other factors.

This project aims to optimize the equipment sales process by enhancing data management, data analysis, equipment marketing, and streamlining processes. This project is important to support higher sales gains for GlobalFoundries used assets.

Project Description

  • Understand the basic overview of the wafer fabrication process and the equipment sales process.
  • Establish a complete equipment database globally and provide data analysis to improve equipment sales gains.
  • Provide coordination support for equipment sales management (e.g., equipment inspection onsite/video inspection), follow up on buyer enquiries, and upload data sheets timely.
  • Manage schedules, prepare reports, and coordinate communication between departments.
  • Maintain equipment sales records and databases.
  • Improve the GlobalFoundries equipment remarketing website to increase website traffic.
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve potential issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through follow-up activities.

Project Outcome

  • Optimize the remarketing website by increasing traffic flow and global equipment sales enquiries.
  • Develop problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Gain valuable experience in sales operations, customer service, and administrative roles.
  • Benefit from networking opportunities and practical experience.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Marketing, or Engineering field.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
  • Available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter and to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
