Engineering (Data Science) Practice
The 2027 BNY Summer Internship Program – Engineering (Data Science) provides high-potential students with a well-rounded, rewarding internship experience with engaging Agile Projects, along with first-hand knowledge of our culture, people, business, and impact within the marketplace. Interns participate in a robust technical experience in JavaScript, Python, CSS, Java, and more.
What you will do
- Apply data science and analytical methods to solve real business and engineering problems.
- Analyze data, perform profiling and feature engineering, and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Build and automate analytical processes, models, and tools that improve decision-making and efficiency.
- Partner with teams across engineering and the business to turn data insights into practical recommendations.

Summer Internship Program
The BNY Summer Internship Program offers high-potential students a dynamic 10-week experience designed to accelerate development, build professional networks, and provide meaningful exposure to one of the world’s leading financial services institutions. Program eligibility
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred.
- Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.
