Trading Execution/CIO Practice – Trading Internship Program

BNY’s Trading Execution/CIO Practice plays a key role in supporting the execution, processing, and oversight of trading activity across a dynamic global marketplace. The Trading Internship Program offers driven students hands-on exposure to the practice through strategic projects aligned to trade support, transaction processing, operational controls, client servicing, and process improvement. In a fast-paced environment, interns gain insight into trading workflows and the trade lifecycle, support reporting, analysis, and issue resolution, and build an understanding of market structure, risk management, and the importance of accuracy, controls, and cross-functional partnership.

What you will do

• Monitor trade activity and help review pricing, liquidity, and execution details in a fast-moving environment.
• Support reconciliations, reporting, and control processes that help maintain accuracy and operational integrity.
• Use data and tools to identify trends, investigate exceptions, and support performance analysis.
• Gain exposure to how markets, trading workflows, and risk controls connect across teams and systems.

Summer Internship Program

Program eligibility

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred
• Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying
