Intern IT Audit Summer 2027 | Multiple Locations

Today’s thriving companies recognize the need to manage business risk. As an intern on the IT Audit team, you will help clients identify and manage risk and improve IT processes and controls. Key services performed by the IT Audit team include System Organization Control (SOC) 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 attestation engagements, as well as IT controls design and operating effectiveness assessments for financial audits.

As part of the IT Audit team, you will gain valuable experience and use critical thinking to help clients solve problems. You will also apply your social skills to build rewarding business relationships. As a trusted advisor, you will stay informed on the latest information technology trends and emerging risks that impact clients. Alongside Forvis Mazars senior staff and management personnel, you will work with clients in a variety of industries as you develop your technical skills and strengthen the foundation for your career.

How You Will Contribute

• Demonstrate an understanding of IT controls associated with applications, databases, operating systems, networks, and reporting tools.
• Perform IT general control audit procedures, including walkthroughs and testing of IT general controls for areas such as change management, logical security, computer operations, cybersecurity, and more.
• Work with client personnel to understand IT processes and controls, obtain audit evidence, and analyze testing results.
• Deliver Forvis Mazars’ commitment to an unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, information systems, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall).

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. • NY Minimum Salary (USD): $30
• NY Maximum Salary (USD): $30

New Jersey Wage Transparency

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
