Global Wealth Management (GWM)
Global Wealth Management (GWM)’s mission is to create industry-leading experiences for financial intermediaries and their individual investor clients while providing a strong contribution to PIMCO’s overall business results. PIMCO GWM is responsible for business strategy and client coverage for financial intermediaries and their advisors, including RIAs, Wirehouses, family offices, banks/trusts, independent broker dealers, platforms, and sub-advisory relationships.
Growth Markets
The Growth Markets group focuses on accelerating growth across product lines with unique technology, service, and operational needs beyond our core mutual fund franchise. The group is responsible for leading business strategy, innovation, and growth initiatives across SMAs, ETFs, Models, Insurance Solutions, and Blockchain/Tokenization. The summer analyst intern will contribute to the team through supporting the group’s key strategic initiatives.
Eligibility
You’re eligible to apply if you:
- Are pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Can begin full-time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2028 and August 2028.
- Are enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027).
- Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative collegiate GPA on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Are business proficient in English.
What You’ll Excel At (Account Analyst)
You’ll excel as a Global Wealth Management Account Analyst if you:
- Show strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance.
- Can articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate strong interest in fixed income markets, investment products, and business strategy, with curiosity for product innovation and evolving client needs.
- Have the ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships, with interest in a client-facing career within Finance.
- Are personable, ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, high-energy, self-starter, accountable, and humble.
- Can multi-task and handle several projects while delivering completed work within expected timelines.
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Have Finance/capital markets coursework (recommended, not required).
- Demonstrate curiosity and experience using new emerging technologies and AI tools in work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes.

The PIMCO Internship Experience
- The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program running from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program.
- During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing the skills, knowledge, and relationships to prepare you for success.
- Alongside your colleagues, you’ll participate in PIMCO’s Global Month of Volunteering to heighten the impact of employees’ worldwide volunteer efforts.
- Join cross-divisional education, networking, and social events.
- Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders, and team will provide guidance and mentorship throughout the summer.
- You’ll gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources to build future-ready skills and make an impact early.
- You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on track to meet your summer goals.
- As a PIMCO intern, you’ll receive competitive compensation, along with a transition bonus to help with relocation to one of our office locations.
Interview Process
- After we receive your application, we will conduct an initial review of your resume.
- If you are selected to move forward, you will take a cognitive assessment and complete a one-way video interview to showcase your interests, skills, and personality.
- After you complete the assessment and one-way video interview, you will have a final round of live interviews via video conference. These interviews typically include both behavioral and technical questions.
Applications for the internship program are reviewed in phases. Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible to be considered in the initial review. Compensation
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees, which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Hourly Rate: $43.26
