Meet the Team

You will work with one of Millennium’s investment teams, which primarily focuses on Fundamental Equity. The team is exploring how applied AI can improve company and industry research, market monitoring, and investment decision-making. The team brings together proprietary knowledge, public information, documents, data, APIs, and analytical tools to build practical research capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Work directly with investment professionals on real investment questions, companies, and industries in a fast-moving environment.
• Build AI agents and automated workflows for company research, industry analysis, earnings, market monitoring, and event-driven use cases.
• Prototype tools that connect internal knowledge, public information, documents, data, APIs, and analytical tools.
• Structure and automate multi-source data to support investment research use cases.
• Track emerging models, developer tools, and open-source projects, and quickly test promising ideas (e.g., LLM wiki-style knowledge systems and loop-based engineering workflows).
• Translate emerging AI capabilities into useful research products with practical application, not standalone demonstrations.
• Support investment research through data analysis, screening, modeling, and industry exploration, where relevant.
• Evaluate outputs for accuracy, source quality, usefulness, and reliability, and refine workflows based on user feedback.

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Strong Python skills, with familiarity in SQL, APIs, databases, or data pipelines preferred.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, AI agents, automation tools, or open-source AI projects.
• Ability to explore unfamiliar technologies and turn ideas into working prototypes quickly. Strong curiosity about new AI models, GitHub projects, research papers, and developer communities.
• Clear communication skills and professional fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Interest in investing, companies, and industry research; prior investment or financial experience is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with document processing, browser automation, data visualization, model evaluation, real-time data systems, technical projects, internships, research, or open-source contributions.
• Availability to commit to a full-time internship for 4 to 6 months starting in October 2026.
