Job Description
This role plays a vital part in bringing TD's human, relationship-driven banking experience to life. You will serve as a trusted guide for clients by delivering everyday banking with accuracy, confidence, and clarity, while helping clients feel informed, supported, and empowered to achieve their financial goals—while upholding TD's strong risk and regulatory standards.
Depth & Scope
- First point of contact for clients; acts as the hospitality ambassador for the bank location by guiding traffic flow and delivering a high-touch client experience.
- Delivers accurate, efficient everyday banking transactions while deepening relationships by proactively identifying needs and opportunities and referring clients to appropriate partners.
- Engages clients professionally, focusing on educating them on appropriate products and self-serve solutions, and using insights to recommend solutions that turn routine transactions into meaningful moments.
- Uses knowledge of basic banking products and services to evaluate and recommend client solutions using insights, tools, and resources.
- Performs a broad range of client transactions and multi-step activities within established financial limits.
- Identifies and assesses client problems in straightforward situations using standard procedures; escalates non-standard issues internally, typically addressing routine requests requiring minimal discretion.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year demonstrated experience working with clients (may include volunteering, education, or military experience).
- Teller or cash-handling experience in a client-facing/financial institution preferred.
- Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to complete required job-related training upon hire.
- Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within deadlines.
- Sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Notary License preferred.
Customer Accountabilities
- Orchestrates the overall client experience by effectively managing client flow (in-person and phone), serving as the first point of contact for inquiries, issue resolution, and referrals to appropriate partners.
- Serves as a hospitality ambassador for the financial center, delivering consistent, relationship-driven client experiences aligned to TD’s service strategy.
- Creates personalized, client-first interactions that establish trust from the initial engagement and strengthen ongoing relationships.
- Balances client needs with sound judgment, policy adherence, and risk awareness to ensure compliant and responsible outcomes.
- Proactively educates clients on banking products, services, and digital capabilities to enhance convenience, save time, and support financial well-being, while connecting clients to specialists as needed to achieve long-term goals.
- Advocates for clients by demonstrating empathy, integrity, and a long-term perspective in all interactions.

- Maintains compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect the client.
- Acts as a trusted first point of contact in safeguarding the integrity of the client relationship by operating in compliance with AML laws and regulatory requirements, accurately verifying client identification, maintaining data integrity, and following established authentication and documentation standards.
- Identifies potential discrepancies, material changes, or risk indicators and escalates appropriately in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Acts in accordance with TD’s code of conduct and ethical standards in every decision.
