Job Description

This role is a banking professional who plays a vital role in delivering TD’s human, relationship-driven banking experience by partnering with clients to help them confidently achieve their financial goals through personalized solutions that support overall financial well-being. The role is accountable for acquiring and deepening client relationships through consultative engagement, strong product knowledge, and disciplined execution that drive meaningful client outcomes while adhering to TD’s risk and regulatory standards.

Depth & Scope

  • Drives acquisition in a bank location by engaging clients through walk-in opportunities, lead management, and outbound outreach, building meaningful connections that help clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Engages clients with curiosity, establishes purpose for the interaction, and conducts meaningful, goals-based discovery to uncover client needs and priorities.
  • Applies foundational banking knowledge to interpret client needs and validate understanding. Clearly explains relevant options, including features, benefits, and potential risks, using simple and transparent language to help clients make informed decisions aligned to their financial goals.
  • Delivers personalized solutions and next best actions, connecting clients to appropriate products, services, or partners.
  • Executes with accuracy and discipline, establishes clear next steps and follow-up, and reinforces the client relationship to support long-term financial progress.
  • Serves as a trusted client advocate by providing ongoing guidance and educating clients on TD products, services, and digital capabilities to simplify everyday banking and improve financial wellness.
  • Builds and strengthens client relationships through consistent, personalized interactions that reflect a client-first approach.
  • Engages clients on mortgage products by accepting mortgage inquiries, referring clients for mortgage solutions, or supporting other residential lending activities.
  • Adheres to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate documentation, strong risk awareness, and protection of both the client and the Bank.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 1+ years of experience engaging with clients in a service, sales, or relationship-building environment.
  • Teller or cash-handling experience in a financial institution preferred.
  • Experience educating clients on products and services in a consultative manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills in client interactions.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar workplace technologies.
  • Ability to complete required job-related training upon hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain active registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required for the role.
  • Notary License (or ability to obtain) preferred.

  • Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under the standards established by Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act, 12 CFR Part 1026.36.
  • Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry) in accordance with the SAFE Act, 12 U.S.C. §§ 5102 et seq., and its implementing regulations, 12 CFR Part 1007.
  • Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check, and statements/certification from the job applicant regarding administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings by any government agency/authority, are required by federal law for this position.
