About the Division

Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is responsible for the development and delivery of quantitative analytics across the Deutsche Bank Group. Our Quantitative Strategists cover all aspects of model development, implementation, and execution, producing analytical frameworks and applications, and collaborating with technology and business partners to solve business problems.

GSA owns the research, development, integration, and automation of all Trading & Sales pricing models. As such, it plays a critical role in ensuring model accuracy and stability for pricing, risk management, and capital calculations.

About the Role

As an intern, you will learn about the business through on-the-job experience. You will gain a significant understanding of the work we do, our team culture, and you will develop your quantitative skills through real-world application.

You may work on one large project for the duration of the internship or on a series of smaller projects, similar to a full-time team member. You will use your quantitative and programming skills to conduct impactful research and implement real solutions.

You will also be exposed to a fast-paced, agile culture, with opportunities to meet and engage with leaders across the organization.

What We Look For

  • We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.
  • You must be studying a post-graduate specialist degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, economics, or finance.
  • Strong quantitative skills and the ability to express ideas verbally, mathematically, and through code are essential.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgement to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
  • You must have a record of outstanding academic achievement and an eagerness to continue learning at the same intensive pace.
  • You will thrive in a highly collaborative environment.

Eligibility Requirements for the 2027 Internship Programme

  • Complete your studies (all final exams and coursework, with no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1 October 2027 and 31 July 2028.
  • Have no more than 12 months of full-time, relevant work experience.

Internship Details

  • Start date: June 2027
  • Duration: 10 weeks

Assessment Process

To progress to the final stage assessment, applicants must attend an in-person technical test on a specified date and location, which is not flexible. More details will be shared with successful shortlisted candidates.
