Responsibilities

  • Support the Quant Risk Analyst with daily risk monitoring and coding work.
  • Ensure daily risk and limit reports are produced in a timely manner for trading, senior management, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Review, comment on, and sign off VAR and capital components daily.
  • Conduct daily review of key market news, positions taken, and key changes.
  • Liaise regularly with Front Office Trading and Structuring to implement risk controls and ensure issues identified (limit breaches, incomplete or inadequate risk monitoring, system problems) are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with and manage relationships across teams outside Market Risk, including Credit Risk, Research, Quantitative Development, Finance, Product Control, Middle Office, Market Risk Technology, Compliance, and Internal Audit.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in a quantitative field (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Crypto/Digital Asset markets.
  • Knowledge of FX, Rates markets, and derivative products, including vanilla options (essential).
  • Knowledge of derivative pricing models and exotic derivative products and complex structured derivatives (preferred).
  • Knowledge of market risk processes (e.g., VAR, limits, stress testing).
  • Ability to work autonomously and willingness to get involved and take responsibility for the area covered.
  • Proficiency in Python programming (required).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and independent problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Energetic, independent, with an aptitude to learn and improve processes.
  • Strong team player who can interact effectively with Front Office, senior risk managers, and other control functions.
