Job Summary

Wholesure is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting team through policy processing, administrative coordination, and underwriting support activities. This role supports new business issuance, endorsements, renewals, and day-to-day underwriting operations while ensuring documentation and policy information are accurate, organized, and complete.

You will work closely with underwriters, brokers, and carriers to support policy servicing and provide timely, high-quality customer support. This is a great opportunity for someone detail-oriented, organized, and interested in building a long-term career in the insurance industry. Training will be provided; prior insurance experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with issuance of new business policies, endorsements, and renewals.
• Support underwriters with policy processing, documentation, and binding activities.
• Communicate with brokers, carriers, and internal underwriting teams to obtain necessary information and support underwriting operations.
• Respond to emails, submissions, phone calls, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Enter and maintain accurate information within underwriting systems and internal databases.
• Review underwriting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Organize and maintain electronic files and underwriting records.
• Support workflow tracking and general operational support for the underwriting team.
• Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years property & casualty insurance experience.
• Active P&C license, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Bilingual in English and any Chinese dialect or Korean.

Pay Details

The base compensation range for this position is $30–$34. Placement within the range will be based on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
