Join a team where your creativity, organisation, and attention to detail can make a real impact. As part of the CIB EMEA Investment Banking Event Marketing team, you will help shape high-quality client experiences that support senior business priorities and deepen engagement with key Investment Banking clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic Event Management Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is eager to contribute to the successful delivery of strategic events across the UK and Europe.
In this role, you will support the planning and execution of conferences, forums, roundtables, leadership meetings, client hospitality, and other strategic events aligned to Investment Banking priorities. You will partner with event managers, bankers, senior stakeholders, internal functions, and external vendors to deliver polished, compliant, and commercially relevant experiences. This role offers the opportunity to build strong event management capability, develop stakeholder management skills, and contribute to the success of a leading global financial institution.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist in the execution of Investment Banking conferences, forums, roundtables, client hospitality, and internal leadership events across EMEA.
- Support event managers with project plans, timelines, invitation management, briefing materials, stakeholder updates, and onsite delivery requirements.
- Manage event-specific databases, attendee lists, delegate communications, registration platforms, and event collateral with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist with speaker and agenda logistics, including briefing documents, biographies, presentation materials, travel coordination, and onsite requirements.
- Maintain branded materials, event supplies, and other assets, ensuring appropriate inventory management and timely ordering where required.
- Deliver smaller stand-alone events or defined workstreams independently, escalating risks and issues appropriately.
- Apply internal processes, controls, approvals, and documentation requirements to ensure adherence to firm policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.
- Support the development, tracking, and reconciliation of event budgets, including purchase orders, invoices, cost estimates, and supplier documentation.
- Build effective relationships with internal partners and external vendors, helping to ensure quality standards, service levels, and value for money.
- Deliver high-quality output under tight deadlines, with flexibility to support early mornings, evenings, and occasional travel as business needs require.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience in events, marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related client-facing field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and professional materials.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through, particularly when managing client data, event materials, and logistics.
- Proactive, self-sufficient, and motivated, with the confidence to ask questions, escalate issues, and seek solutions.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to problem-solve, think independently, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, high standards, and a commitment to delivering excellent client experiences.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in a financial institution, professional services organisation, luxury hospitality, or corporate events environment.
- Interest in Investment Banking, corporate finance, capital markets, and the broader EMEA client landscape.
- Experience using event technology, registration platforms, CRM tools, workflow systems, or budget management processes.
- Innovative and creative approach to problem-solving, client experience, and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable with ongoing change, shifting priorities, and working in a matrix management organisation.
- Willingness to engage with diverse stakeholders across seniority levels, regions, products, and support functions.
