As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with the utmost hospitality. You will use the latest banking solutions, cutting-edge financial technology, and friendly, attentive service to acquire, manage, and retain meaningful client relationships—using your financial knowledge to provide thoughtful solutions that address clients’ needs and support the success of the branch.

Job Responsibilities

  • Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive, friendly service and creating a welcoming environment.
  • Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and over the phone to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
  • Use clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and help clients—asking questions, listening, and anticipating needs to build trust.
  • Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to support their banking needs whenever and however they want.
  • Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients on banking solutions and connect them with our team of experts for specialized financial needs.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or other related industries, with proven success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
  • Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail, providing a consistent client experience.
  • Ability to operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. Unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire; study materials and support will be provided.
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • College degree or military equivalent.
  • Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Dodd-Frank / Truth in Lending Act

This position is subject to the Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on JPMC’s review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other relevant information to determine whether you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration. Continued employment would be contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.

This position also requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with JPMorganChase, you will be required to either register on NMLS or update your existing registration to grant access to and reflect your employment with JPMorganChase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date, and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter.
