Job Overview
This six-month internship provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues on meaningful, real-world transactions shaping the infrastructure sector across the UK, Europe and globally. You will build technical skills, contribute to live deals, and gain hands-on experience supporting the team across a range of ongoing projects.
What Role Will You Play?
Our Infrastructure Advisory team, within Macquarie Capital, partners with clients across the infrastructure and energy sectors to deliver advisory capabilities, including:
- Buy- and sell-side M&A advisory
- Capital structuring
- Debt solutions
As an off-cycle intern, you will contribute to live transactions through financial analysis, company valuations and market research. You will work alongside experienced professionals and develop technical and advisory skills through activities including:
- Preparing research and presentation materials
- Conducting financial analysis and valuations for pitches or live deals
Internship slots are available from September 2026 and January 2027. These internships are 4–5 months in duration.
What You Offer
- You are in your final year of university (bachelor’s or master’s), or graduated in the last year with an excellent academic record.
- A basic understanding of financial advisory processes, valuation, accounting, and financial modelling.
- Strong interest in infrastructure.
- Previous internship experience in private equity, M&A, or deal advisory at a reputable accountancy firm.
- Clear and confident communication skills with fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
