Clearing Operations Analyst

Job Purpose

The successful candidate performs various tasks across Clearing Operations, Risk Management, and Treasury functions of ICE Clear Singapore (“Clearing House”) so that the Clearing House can operate smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Work with Heads of Clearing Operations, Risk Management, and Treasury to establish, maintain, and operate a framework aligned with global best practices.
• Provide excellent customer service to Clearing Members and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ensure Clearing Rules, regulations, and procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Proactively manage, escalate, and resolve operational incidents, including root cause analysis, driving subsequent process and/or technology improvements, and providing support with reporting to regulators where appropriate.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design, develop, and implement enhancements to clearing house systems and processes, including writing business requirements and performing UAT.
• Demonstrate proficiency in risk and control concepts by supporting the implementation and operation of an effective control environment, including generating reports, monitoring, and mitigating risks.
• Provide Clearing Operations, Risk Management, and Treasury services support for other clearing houses within the group during Singapore office hours.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong academic background with a solid understanding of financial markets, market structure, and regulatory frameworks.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably with an understanding of exchange-traded instruments risk management and its clearing and settlement lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools such as Tableau, with the ability to analyse data and draw meaningful insights.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Excel VBA is preferred, including the ability to leverage AI tools to interpret, develop, and troubleshoot queries or code.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, able to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
