About This Role
Audible is seeking a Commissioning Coordinator to support the Audible Originals fiction team in the UK. The role primarily supports the Senior Director of Audible Originals and the wider fiction commissioning team on a project focused on expanding partnerships with major literary Estates and IP owners in the UK and beyond.
Key responsibilities include managing submissions, scheduling meetings, and helping with the development process for existing shows and audiobooks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and collaborative—able to bring people together and keep work moving across multiple strands at once. You are a keen consumer of great entertainment (audio, film, TV, and books) with a passion for storytelling.
This is a Fixed-Term Contract required to support a defined 18-month project focused on expanding Audible’s partnerships with major literary Estates and IP owners in the UK and beyond. The role supports the build-out and development of a specific content slate within a set timeframe, after which the partnership framework and workflows will be established and transitioned to the existing team.
About You
You bring a blend of team support, coordination, and communications experience in a media, entertainment, or creative environment. You have strong writing skills, particularly for internal communications, briefing notes, updates, and communicating with internal and external partners.
You are someone people trust: a calm, capable operator who can handle detail, build relationships quickly, and support senior stakeholders. You enjoy making things happen behind the scenes—bringing order, energy, and connection to a busy team. You demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, strong follow-through, and the ability to anticipate team needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate outreach, meetings, and ongoing communication with major literary Estates and other IP partners as the Audible Original slate expands over the next 18 months
- Support content leadership and team operations through scheduling, logistics, documentation, meeting coordination, travel planning, expenses, and light project tracking
- Support the development process for Audible Originals books and scripted drama shows by managing workflow for freelance script editors and copyeditors (experience not required; can be taught)
- Manage the submissions process for potential future Audible Originals commissions
- Manage submissions process for industry award nominations
- Support organization and smooth running of industry events and presence at conferences
- Create PowerPoint presentations for key meetings with internal and external partners (e.g., slate presentations and pitches to talent)
- Liaise with Marketing, US counterparts, and other partner teams around key initiatives
- Maintain light interaction with talent and partners where needed around events, recordings, and external engagements, in close coordination with relevant leads
Basic Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience as a team assistant, coordinator, operations, or similar support role within media, entertainment, creative, or fast-paced corporate environments
- Experience with productivity and collaboration tools, including calendars, spreadsheets, presentations, trackers, email tools, and messaging platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the entertainment industry
- Strong writing and slide-preparation skills, with attention to detail in formatting and presentation
- Familiarity with content workflows and team operations in a creative organization
- Experience interfacing with external partners, talent, or guests in a professional setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team
