Responsibilities

• Contribute to product direction and the roadmap for backend trading systems.
• Improve core systems such as the matching engine, risk engines, and pricing models for derivatives products, including (but not limited to) Futures, Margin, Options, and Event Contracts.
• Work with trading engineering teams to translate complex trading needs into technical solutions.
• Participate in the product lifecycle from planning to release and ongoing/new feature launches.
• Monitor backend performance and resolve issues before they impact users.
• Ensure systems comply with standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Less than 5 years of experience (including internships), ideally in trading systems, backend product, fintech, quant, or platform roles.
• Strong understanding of trading fundamentals, including order book mechanics, margin, leverage, liquidation, PnL, and risk management concepts.
• Strong logical thinking and ability to work with complex mathematical models and system rules.
• Comfortable working with data and technical teams; experience with SQL/Python/Excel is a strong plus.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin required to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.
