Role details

Corporate Treasury Engineering – Software Engineer

The Corporate Treasury Engineering team is looking for world-class software engineers to work closely with Corporate Treasury business partners and help improve liquidity projections and optimizations, financial resource allocation and management, cash and collateral management, and funds transfer pricing and execution strategy.

This is a front-to-back, integrated group that explores new ideas for optimizing the firm’s liquidity position, managing risk, and executing strategy—all within one team. The team is divided into five pillars, each with a specific mandate, including scalable big data architecture, inventory and liquidity usage optimization algorithms, and working directly with Traders on execution of trades and risk management.

Corporate Treasury lies at the heart of Goldman Sachs, ensuring all businesses have the appropriate level of funding to conduct their activities, while optimizing the firm’s liquidity and managing its risk.

Your Impact

Our Corporate Treasury Engineering team develops quantitative techniques and technology solutions to solve complex and commercial business problems. You will partner with the firm’s Treasurer and other members of Corporate Treasury senior leadership to manage the firm’s liquidity risk, secured and unsecured funding programs, and the level and composition of consolidated and subsidiary equity capital, as well as invest any excess liquidity.

In this role, you will be provided unique insight into the firm’s business activities and asset strategy. You will define and develop software to analyze data, build metric calculators, and automate tools that help the business gain insights into data, predict scenarios, and improve decision-making to reduce interest expenses for the firm. This front-to-back model provides software developers visibility into all aspects of Corporate Treasury planning and execution, while working with cutting-edge industrial technologies.

How Will You Fulfill Your Potential

  • Develop scalable architecture and implement software across the full SDLC cycle.
  • Explore the latest technologies, offerings, and platforms to strategize and build optimal technology solutions.
  • Work closely with the business to create real-time impact and deliver products with the most commercial value.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
