As a Banking Representative, you will interact with customers as the ‘face’ of Metro Bank, with a strong understanding of our products and services and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
What you will do
- Be at the forefront of customer interactions, providing exceptional service and understanding which products and services best meet customer needs.
- Work as part of a team, prioritising tasks against changing customer demand and contributing to store objectives.
- Keep up to date with regulatory and non-regulatory training and changes to ensure compliance and fair transactions.
- Demonstrate responsibility for risk, call out concerns, and act in the best interests of customers, colleagues, and Metro Bank.
Working Arrangements & Training
Metro Bank, Hammersmith, is a Monday – Friday store. We are recruiting for full time, 37.5 hours across 5 days. Colleagues work from 8:45am – 5:15pm or 9:00am – 5:30pm daily. If necessary, we may ask you to work Saturdays in a store that is open; in that case, you will receive a day off in the week and reasonable travel expenses may be covered.
We provide training to develop you into a Banking Representative, including a mix of live team sessions with a trainer, guided study through our online training suite, and on-the-job training (observing, buddying, and serving customers). Training will be blended together at a pace set between you and your manager.
What you will need
- Ability to build effective customer relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail, even under pressure.
- Profound understanding of the risks associated with the role and their implications for both yourself and Metro Bank's customers.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- While prior experience in finance or banking is not always required, experience handling customer service queries in a controlled process environment is essential.
