Location/Division Specific Information:
Grand Island, Staley Road location, BCD/BID Division of LSG. This is a Material Handler II role in the Distribution (Outbound) department on 1st shift with a work shift of Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.

A Day in the Life:
- Pick/pull customer orders by obtaining material/products from designated warehouse locations in various temperatures (Ambient, Cold Room & Freezer).
- Transferring finished products to different pallets in addition to banding/wrapping the pallets.
- Use various electronic systems, ERP (E1), Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel), Smartsheet.
- Stage product and load various shipments onto logistics carriers.
- Perform various checks and ensure inventory is picked and packed accurately.
- Work in or support other process paths; receiving, material handling, storage.
- Regularly use PIT equipment (power walkie, fork truck, pancake, stacker, and swing truck).
- In addition to daily tasks, you will participate in safety, quality, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of general warehouse experience.
- One to two years' experience working with computers and basic software packages, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with various powered industrial equipment (counter-balance trucks, reach trucks, powered pallet jacks).
- Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus.

- Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Close vision and ability to adjust focus required.
- Regularly required to lift up to 25+ pounds. May be required to lift weight of 45 pounds or more, with assistance and/or with equipment on occasion.
- Working in and out of a -5 to -20°C Freezer and 2 to 8°C Cold Room and potentially at different heights using PIT equipment (swing trucks, order pickers).
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.41–$21.61.
