As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with hospitality. You will use modern banking solutions and financial technology alongside friendly, attentive service. You will play a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful client relationships by applying your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions that address client needs and help make their lives easier—contributing to the success of the branch.

Job Responsibilities

  • Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive, friendly service and creating a welcoming environment.
  • Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and over the phone to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
  • Use clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and support clients by asking questions, listening carefully, and anticipating needs to build trust.
  • Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to support their banking needs whenever and however they want.
  • Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients on banking solutions and collaborate with team experts for specialized financial needs.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or a related industry, with proven success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
  • Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with different needs.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail to provide a consistent client experience.
  • Ability to operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. Unlicensed applicants must obtain required licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire (study materials and support provided).
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • College degree or military equivalent.
  • Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Dodd-Frank / Truth in Lending Act & SAFE Act (Loan Originator Requirements)

This position is subject to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on JPMC’s review of criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and other information relevant to whether you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position.

Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd-Frank Loan Originator requirements.

In addition, this position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with JPMorganChase, you will be required to register on NMLS or update your existing registration to grant access to and reflect your employment with JPMorganChase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date, and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter.

Information obtained during NMLS registration, updates, and renewal processes, or through NMLS notifications, may impact employment. Completed information provided during the Chase online application process may be transferred on your behalf to NMLS by JPMorganChase.
