Responsibilities

• Address settlement-related queries and requests from trading desks.
• Escalate and summarize control failures to team management.
• Partner with embedded risk managers to develop remediation plans to address and prevent recurrence.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies while managing client expectations and potential fail exposure.
• Identify processes and controls improvements to build scalability and mitigate new risks.
• Coordinate with external clients to ensure timely execution of settlements and resolve outstanding balance queries.
• Participate in enhancement projects across teams to improve scalability and efficiency of the confirmation process.
• Investigate and ensure payments are made by appropriate industry cutoffs; escalate any breaks to the business in a timely manner.
• Design and initiate process improvements through a thorough understanding of template architecture and system flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in the offered role or a related role.
• Experience with trade booking reviews; validating trade information (including asset class- and region-specific details); streamlining essential reporting; and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to communicate complex issues to internal partners with varying levels of product experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas.
• Experience identifying process flaws and proposing solutions to maximize efficiency.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $97,000–$126,000.
