Analyst, Fixed Income

Job Purpose

The role of Fixed Income Analyst entails undertaking the evaluation of fixed income securities, and providing mentoring and development support to the Fixed Income Evaluations team. It also provides support to the Sales teams in Asia to ensure quick and responsive turnaround to existing and potential client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of fixed income securities using proprietary models
• Price and data research, sourcing and analysis
• Buy and Sell Side liaison within our Asia Pacific client base
• Liaison with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) evaluations teams in Melbourne, London and New York
• Identifying areas that could cause potential risk to the evaluations process and work with evaluations management to develop/enhance current and ongoing processes and controls

Knowledge and Experience

• Relevant university degree and/or professional experience in a Financial Discipline
• 1+ yrs prior experience in a fixed income role within either an Investment Bank or Funds Management company
• Knowledge of Fixed Income Securities
• Effective listening verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent work ethic
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and follow-up skills
• PC skills including working knowledge of MS Windows Office
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work independently where research is required, although support from other team members is always available
